Your Safety is Our Business

Traffic Safe NZ is a 100% New Zealand -owned and operated company that provides temporary traffic management services throughout the North Island. We aim to ensure the highest level of safety for our employees, customers and the community. 

Established in 2009 with just two trucks and six staff, we are now one of the largest providers of temporary traffic management, with hundreds staff and the latest in equipment and technology.  This allows us to provide rapid, high-quality and cost-effective solutions for every project.

Training and Development

Traffic Safe is committed to providing the highest standard of training and development possible for our employees, subcontractors and clients to ensure that they are able to operate within a safe environment.  Our qualified trainers have extensive road experience and sound knowledge of regulatory requirements.

Health and Safety

Traffic Safe NZ has a high standard of Health and Safety, as well as environmental awareness and management. With a breadth of experience in NZTA projects, we have a well-established health and safety culture. It’s important to us that our team feels safe and they’re happy to come to work each day.

Traffic Safe NZ has worked on New Zealand’s roads for more than 10 years. In this time, we have maintained high standards of health and safety. We employ the following health and safety rules: 

  • Company and H&S Inductions and refreshers for all staff
  • Site induction for all staff on the project, including subcontractors
  • Competency assessments for all staff
  • Mandatory PPE requirements: hardhat, safety glasses, hi-viz vest,
  • long sleeves, and pants. Lace-up high ankle steel cap work boots.
  • Gloves for manual handling.
  • Pre-start meetings before work daily, including hazard
  • identification.
  • Daily vehicle pre-starts.
