Meet the Team
Andrew is one of the original founders of Traffic Safe NZ, and leads business development with an eye to enhance the customer experience.
He has a background in economics and social sciences and has been in the Traffic Management space for over 11 years spending five as a TTM trainer.
Family is front and centre when it comes to down-time, whether it be surfing (badly), making others look good at pilates or playing Call of Duty. Not with the kids though – they always get MVP!
Ex-dairy farmer Karl is Managing Director of Traffic Safe NZ, driving the company’s strategic visions. He is also a member of the CoPTTM review Board and a L2-L3 STMS-NP.
Graduating from four legs to four wheels, Karl takes care of the large Traffic Safe fleet, and readily seizes any opportunity to roll up his sleeves and jump on the back of a truck. He is passionate about creating growth opportunities for Traffic Safe employees, our clients and the communities where we work.
Pierre is Traffic Safe NZ’s General Manager and responsible for the overall ‘health’ of the business. He has an MBA, cumlaude, from Nelson Mandela University.
With a passion for people, some of Pierre’s core functions include enhancing the wellbeing of our employees, and cultivating a high-performing, diverse, innovative and customer-centric culture.
Before his shift to New Zealand from South Africa, Pierre was the MD for a company that provided road safety solutions and products to the South African National Road Agency (SANRAL).
Pierre is a fan of good food and the outdoors, loving his wife’s cooking and braaing (BBQ) Saffa style.
People and Capability Manager
Katherine is the People and Capabilities Manager at Traffic Safe NZ. She has a wealth of experience in HR and holds a BSc/LLB from Auckland University majoring in Human Geography (specialising in Environmental Science) and in law, Employment, Family and Environmental.
The challenge and excitement of HR is Katherine’s main driver. No day is ever the same, and the opportunity to positively influence and connect with people is extremely satisfying.
Katherine is a classically trained singer, and shares her passion for baking in the best way we know: by providing her colleagues, friends and family with loads of yummy treats!

Senior Operations Manager
Dave takes care of operations at our Silverdale branch and has been in the TTM industry just shy of a decade. Starting off as a TC and working his way through the ranks, Dave is a qualified STMS, trained in TMP design and has previously held an NZTA trainer qualification.
In his own time Dave can be found surrounded by family and friends, leaping off the couch while cheering on his favourite sports teams.
Lindsay has been Traffic Safe’s National Trainer since February 2017. He has an in-depth knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the industry, and holds a Level 5 Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching.
Lindsay specializes in TTM training, delivering TMO and STMS courses across the North Island each week. He also undertakes on-site coaching, mentoring and audit training for staff, and conducts compliance audits as part of his role.
When not educating and mentoring learners, Lindsay can generally be found in and around other schools…the fishing kind!
National Planning Manager
Isaiah is Traffic Safe’s National Planning Manager with nine years of industry experience under his belt. He greases the wheels of TMP applications, allocates his team’s workload and cultivates strong relationships with our clients, contractors and RCAs.
Isaiah has a passion for developing others to reach their full potential. He thoroughly enjoys providing guidance to the next generation of TC’s, STMS’s and TMP Planners, and celebrating their progression through the TTM ranks.
Operations Manager, North Auckland
Chris takes care of operations at our Silverdale branch, talking strategy, organising TTM for clients, improving staff performance, procuring resources and securing compliance. He derives immense pleasure from helping others to find their wings, and is always there to assist staff in their development and growth on both a professional and personal level.
Prior to joining Traffic Safe, Chris worked for Auckland Transport in their operations centre where his time was focused on all aspects of road safety & improvement, and providing incident support for emergency services.
The sky really is the limit for Chris – he holds his commercial pilot’s licence and has a passion for all things aviation. He loves aerobatic flying and NZ’s great outdoors; especially the isolation of Central Otago & the North Island’s Central Plateau.
Operations Manager, South Auckland
Operations Manager, Waikato
James manages operations at our Waikato branch organizing TTM for clients, supporting staff in their development and maintaining operational compliance. Highly respected amongst the TSNZ family, James is also a Level 2/3NP STMS, TTM Mentor, Auditor, Driver Competency Assessor and TMP Planner.
A family man and sci-fi fan, James dreams of a day when ‘TTM’ stands for ‘Time Travel Management’ so he can catch every game of footy and explore far off galaxies with his girls.
Domenique Botha du Preez
Office Manager, Waikato
Domenique (‘Dom’) is the Office Manager at our Waikato branch. She ensures the office runs smoothly, undertaking a multitude of administrative duties, employee development and dealing with clients. She’s also a Level 1 STMS and a Health and Safety Rep. Unflappable, dependable and totally passionate about developing our people, Dominique loves finding innovative and efficient ways to streamline and improve upon daily operations.
Outside of the Traffic Safe NZ office, Domenique enjoys spending time painting and listening to music.
Operations Manager, Taranaki
Grant takes care of the Taranaki branch and has been with Traffic Safe NZ since 2018 holding TC, STMS and 2IC positions.
Grant has more than eight years of experience in the traffic management space, evidenced by his ability to consistently exceed the expectations of customers, and provide encouragement, guidance, and support to staff.
Operations Manager, Whanganui
Jason is responsible for the management and day to day running of our Whanganui branch, organising TTM for clients, supporting staff and maintaining operational compliance.
An NZTA mentor and fully-qualified assessor, Jason has undertaken many roles in the TTM industry over the last seven years and is highly respected by his peers. Most of Jason’s time these days is spent in the office, but he still enjoys throwing on the yellow jacket and mucking-in with his crews.
Jason is talented at freehand pencil drawing and has a passion for good Kiwi kai.
Operations Manager, Manawatu
Adrian manages day-to-day operations at our Manawatu branch, liaising with clients, scheduling jobs, and taking care of staff and fleet.
Before joining the team in 2020, Adrian was a Sales and Business Development Manager for ITM. A firm believer in ‘doing the hard mahi to get the treats’, Adrian is passionate about motivating and supporting his team to achieve great things beyond their own imaginings. Developing the infinite potential in others is a huge driving force for Adrian, and his ability to connect and build strong relationships puts him in prime position to lead our dynamic Palmy crew.
