We love being safety-led innovators, so are excited to be involved in a trial to test a locally made traffic cone machine.
Taking people off the back of traditional cone trucks to remove the risk of injury was the key motivator to bringing in our robotic cone trucks from Austria. Now we are pumped about helping to trial a locally made prototype that is also designed to remove this risk.
Fieldtorque in Taranaki has come up with a machine that deploys and retrieves road cones, based on technology they currently use in agriculture. We have been working with them to test the design and so far it is looking very promising.
As a 100% Kiwi-owned and operated business, we are passionate about supporting other local businesses. Not only is the solution locally made but it may very well be faster than our current trucks, which would be a game-changer.
