As our Traffic Management Designer, you are at the heart of ensuring safe and efficient project delivery for our clients and crews . Working closely with our Operations team, you will design and prepare high-quality Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) that meet regulatory and client requirements. Your expertise will ensure our crews can deliver works safely on the road, directly supporting our commitment to great service delivered by great crews, underpinned by great safety.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Designing fit-for-purpose, practical, and safe Temporary Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) based on client and operational requirements.
• Ensuring all TMPs are fully compliant with the New Zealand Guide to Temporary Traffic Management (NZGTTM) and all local Road Controlling Authority (RCA) conditions.
• Collaborating closely with clients, RCAs, and internal operations teams to gather design inputs and ensure plans are practical and support project delivery.
• Managing your workload to prioritise TMP requests, meet submission deadlines, and ensure timely approvals from RCAs.
• Incorporating risk-based controls and health and safety requirements into every plan to uphold our commitment to “Great Safety”.

What you'll bring:

This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, organised, and committed to road safety and compliance.

• Proven experience in temporary traffic management, ideally with an understanding of the NZGTTM, RCA conditions, and relevant legislation.
• A valid TMP design qualification and competency.
• Knowledge of Rapid Plan is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-oriented approach.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to health and safety compliance.
