You’ll be on the front line, responsible for setting up and managing traffic management sites, making real-time decisions to keep traffic flowing, and championing our award-winning commitment to safety by providing safe and effective traffic management solutions to our clients. What you’ll be responsible for:

• Set up and maintain compliant TTM sites according to the approved plan.
• Manage live traffic flow, including stop/go and layout adjustments.
• Lead on-site crews, conduct toolbox talks, and allocate daily tasks.
• Conduct site inductions, safety checks, and maintain accurate records.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure on-site compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current TMO practising or STMS A/B practising qualification. If you don't have practising status—that's okay! We can train and certify you. We have a dedicated training team here at Traffic Safe to support your career development within traffic management!

• A full Class 1 NZ driver's licence is a must-have, and be comfortable driving manual vehicles. (Class 2 is a bonus).
• Confidence to lead crews and make smart, risk-based decisions on site.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Be physically fit and ready to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Previous traffic management experience across a range of worksites.
• Strong understanding and commitment to Safety!
