NZ Road Safety Week School Visit
This week is Road Safety Week in NZ, so we are creating awareness around the importance of looking after ourselves and others when we are out and about on the roads.
Today the Traffic Safe team visited Churchill Park School in Auckland as part of our community engagement programme.
We had a chat to the year one to three children about road safety and showed them some of our gear, including how we drop and pick up cones on the road.
It was a really fun interactive event with the kids having lots of great questions. Suffice to say, the morning was enjoyed by the students, teachers, and our crew!
We believe that educating our young ones early is super important, especially with a United Nations report showing that people aged 5-29 are the biggest group killed globally on our roads each year.
Let's all get home safe every day.
